Terms of use
Last updated November 2026. Draft: not yet reviewed by a lawyer
Facecast changes how a face looks on a live video. That’s fun and useful, and it can also hurt people if it’s misused. These terms say what you agree to when you use it.
Faces you may use
- Your own face, or the face of an adult who has given you permission to use their likeness on a livestream or recording.
- Never a photo of a child.
- Never a face you don’t have the rights to, including celebrities and public figures, unless they have given you permission.
How you may use it
- Don’t use Facecast to make viewers believe you are really someone else, or to speak, sell or promote anything as them.
- Don’t use it for fraud, harassment, sexual content of a real person without their consent, or anything illegal where you live or stream.
- Label your stream as AI-generated wherever the platform asks you to. TikTok, for example, requires a label on realistic AI-generated content.
- Follow the rules of every platform you stream to.
Your photos and video
Facecast runs on your computer. Faces you upload and your camera video stay on your computer and aren’t sent to us. To check your subscription, the app sends your license key and your computer’s name to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. When you download Facecast, this site checks your license key with Lemon Squeezy and doesn’t store it.
Your subscription
Facecast is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, sold by Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, tax and receipts. Each subscription works on 2 computers at a time. You can cancel any time; Facecast keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for. The app needs to reach the license server at least once a week.
If you break these terms
We may cancel your license without a refund if you use Facecast in ways these terms don’t allow. You’re responsible for what you stream.
No warranty
Facecast is provided as it is. We work to keep it running well, but we can’t promise it will work on every computer or with every streaming app, and we aren’t liable for losses from using it, as far as the law allows.
